I ordered this terminal kit along with some other electrical bits from Livestainable to complete an electrical project I was in the middle of, my stash of terminals was running low and thought this would be prefect.
Now I must admit I assumed there would be insulated spade style terminals however they are non insulated style which was my fault for not reading the description correctly.
The terminals are extremely flimsy, I would be very worried about trying to pass 36amp - 48amp through the larger yellow ones. (Yes that’s the actual rating of these terminals, style depending)
The smaller red and blue sizes don’t stay crimped well on the wire, I tried to use some for low current LED indicators and heat shrink to insulate the exposed part of the terminal. However the wire is very easily pulled out after crimping (using the correct ratchet style crimper) in fact I actually cut off the ones I crimped as I was worried they would loosen over time with vibration.
I landed up buying more the German quality ones I usually use.
As the saying goes if you buy cheap you get cheap. Yes these terminal fulfill a place on the market, but they’re the quality you would expect from a cheap Chinese import.
I will keep them and use them in the future and solder the wires after crimping for low risk applications.
Shipping was a little longer than I had hoped but not unreasonable at all, considering it needed to be shipped to CT and I had several items in my order that were not in stock.
