The Lynx Distributor is a key component of the Lynx Distribution System, featuring both a positive and a negative busbar. The positive side offers four fuse-protected connections with monitoring capabilities, while the negative side provides four connections plus a ground connection. This device is engineered for seamless integration into the Lynx Distribution system and comes in two variants: one with M8 and the other with M10 busbar connections. It's important to note that M10 specifically refers to the busbar's connection points for module interconnection, whereas fuse and cable connections remain at M8.
The distributor is equipped with a power LED and four LEDs for indicating the status of each fuse. When connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, up to four Lynx Distributors can relay fuse status information to the BMS. However, this functionality is not supported with a Lynx Shunt VE.Can connection.
Each Lynx Distributor package includes a 40cm RJ10 cable, which powers the device and enables data transmission to a Lynx Smart BMS when connected. Designed to accommodate MEGA fuses, these must be acquired separately.
For monitoring and configuration, if connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, the VictronConnect App facilitates this process. Similarly, a GX device can monitor up to four Lynx Distributors when linked to a Lynx Smart BMS, offering remote monitoring capabilities through the VRM portal.
The Lynx Distribution System itself is a comprehensive modular busbar solution designed for DC connection, distribution, fusing, battery monitoring, and lithium battery management. Components of this system include the Lynx Power In for connecting batteries or DC equipment, the Lynx Distributor for fused connections and monitoring, the Lynx Shunt VE.Can for battery monitoring and communication, and the Lynx Smart BMS designed for managing Victron Energy Smart Lithium batteries. These modules are pivotal for creating a robust and efficient power distribution setup.
