The MK3-USB facilitates the connection of various products to a computer for the purpose of configuration and firmware upgrades. These products include Multi, MultiGrid, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro, VE.Bus BMS V2, and devices with VE.Bus communication ports such as ECOmulti, EasySolar, EasyPlus, and Inverters.
The VictronConnect App, with its VE.Bus features, enables you to set up, monitor, update, and troubleshoot your VE.Bus Victron products efficiently. It connects to the inverters through either a USB-MK3 accessory cable or a VE.Bus Smart Dongle (each sold separately), facilitating seamless integration. The MK3 VE.Bus component is compatible with Android, Windows, and macOS X platforms, excluding iOS, whereas the VE.Bus Smart dongle is accessible on Android, macOS X, and iOS, but not on Windows.
VictronConnect serves as an essential tool for installers, allowing them to swiftly configure systems post-installation. The app ensures a hassle-free process for updating Victron product firmware without the need for an internet connection or downloading files. Simply connect directly to the product for configuration via the MK3. Post-configuration, the VE.Bus Smart dongle offers a straightforward user interface for basic interaction with a complete Victron system in RVs or marine settings, enabling you to monitor and control your device. This includes adjusting the shore power input current limit or toggling your inverter on and off through the app.
This guidance applies to all Victron inverters and inverter/chargers equipped with a VE.Bus communication port, such as the MultiPlus (including Compact), MultiPlus-II, MultiPlus-II GX, MultiGrid, Quattros, EasySolar, EasySolar-II, EasySolar-II GX, and Phoenix Inverters with a VE.Bus port.
